Looking for feedback on sales page for my new course

Hi Everyone,

I'm planning to pre-launch my new course around the Art of Mindful Evolution within the next few days.

Any feedback around my sales page would be greatly appreciated. I tried to incorporate many of your suggestions from the last go-around launching my previous course a few weeks ago.

I'm especially interested in hearing who you feel the ideal audience for this course might be.

I'm imagining it's someone who knows of something they want to create in their life, but it never comes to f…

WS

What an impactful offering for your audience, Mike! 👏

Your confidence, subject matter expertise and warmth come through clearly in your video.  I get a strong sense of who you are as the guide and teacher on this course.

I feel that this course would suit procrastinators and people who are spinning their wheels.  They have goals and desires and dearly want to move forward to achieve them, but take 2 steps forward and 1 step back.  Result (and therefore frustration/'pain point'): they perpetually hold themselves back, but can't *quite* pinpoint why.

Your expertise and knowledge shine through in both your video and sales copy.  It's strong.  I also see an opportunity for you to ask the reader to hone in and consider the issue in the context of their life by starting some paragraphs with a question, to further help them to understand why your course will help them.

Example:

Self-limiting beliefs are often the greatest hurdles. They silently whisper doubts, holding you back even when you consciously believe in your capabilities. The result? A life where you're constantly running in place, unable to reach the finish line of your goals.

Suggestion:

Are your days filled with thoughts such as, "(example self-limiting beliefs that your clients experience)"?

These self-limiting beliefs are your greatest hurdles. They silently whisper doubts, holding you back even when you consciously believe in your capabilities. The result? A life where you're constantly running in place, unable to reach the finish line of your goals.

All the best with your course launch - I'm cheering you on! 🙌 Add oil! 🌟

Sales Page Principles / How to think about writing it

Imagine you're writing an invitation to play/work with you, directed to your kindred spirits, your "soul mate" group members...

AC

It's like inviting people to a party. Some will come, others won't, for others currently it's not a fit and they may join the next one. We throw the best party we can with whomever comes, and it will be perfect

WS

@Alonso carballo Exactly!  I like your party invitation analogy - makes the group program sales page feel more fun (and therefore more joyful to write). 😊

An alternative to Zoom - Sessions

During a recent netcaring conversation, @Heather Lakatos  and I talked about the change to Zoom's T&Cs which now allow them to use some customer data to train its AI models.  This naturally led to talk about alternatives to Zoom and Heather suggested Sessions (thank you Heather!🙏)

Their website states:

  • We’ll never share your data with 3rd parties or use your content to train AI models.
  • Backed by Google’s trusted cloud storage infrastructure.
  • All our storage systems are located in Europe.

@Winnie Sher I'm curious how this has been working for you?

WS
@Susan Tutt  So far so good, thanks!  I've used it for 1:1 calls.  The video quality is very clear, even when I'm just using my computer's camera.  Sound quality is good.  There were a couple of internet connection issues on one call - I'm not sure if it was Sessions, my internet connection or the internet connection of the person I was speaking with though.
Sessions does all the things that Zoom does - chat, polls, whiteboard, reactions.  It records calls and stores them in the cloud.  What I love most so far is the AI Copilot - it not only creates a transcript of the call, it can summarise the key points, create action items, a bulleted list or respond to a custom prompt.  This is beneficial for client coaching sessions, webinars and online workshops.

I'm also exploring how AI Copilot can help me to create written content!  I had a call with myself, turned on the transcription and riffed on a topic.  I asked AI Copilot to summarise my ramblings, which it did but it sounded very much like a meeting summary (which is what's it's trained to do).  So I copied the transcript and asked ChatGPT to create a blog post using my words as the source.  The result was better - it's a work-in-progress but that's more to do with my unfamiliarity with using ChatGPT effectively (note to self: return to George's ChatGPT course!).

I find it incredibly useful to have a transcription of my ideas, in one place, that I can use or repurpose. Oh, and did I mention that AI Copilot translates non-English speech into English with good accuracy!  With Dutch and Cantonese at least - I've only tested those two so far.

Aside from 1:1 and group calls, Sessions can also book appointments (replacing Calendly or similar) and host event booking pages (replacing Eventbrite or similar).  I like that appointment booking, event booking + hosting and meetings are all in one place.  That's a huge plus for me - no flitting between 3 different systems.

That said, Sessions is still in its infancy, so it's not perfect.  For example, there are no payment collection options for events, which restricts bookings to free events for now.  Although you can apply custom branding, email confirmations have 'Sessions' all over them, which might confuse clients/meeting attendees.  Both features are on their roadmap for future releases.  For now, I take appointment bookings via cal.com and include a link to my Sessions personal meeting room in the email confirmation.

I'm sure there are plenty more pluses and minuses of using Sessions that I haven't discovered yet!  The detailed reviews on AppSumo from verified purchasers might add more colour.

I signed up for lifetime access to their Tier 3 Licence (promo pricing at $229 until 15 Sept on AppSumo), which includes AI Copilot, web hooks and up to 150 attendees per session.  Features and pricing of the other tiers are here

I felt it was worth investing in Sessions for the convenience of the AI Copilot.  Until 15 September, the lifetime Tier 3 Licence works out at 1.5 times the cost of a one-year Zoom subscription, plus AppSumo offer a 60 day money-back guarantee. I'll continue to road test as many features as I can in the next 2 months to make sure it's an investment I wish to keep.

One last thing!  You can book a 30 min live demo (click "get a live demo" at the top of the page) with a member of the Sessions team so that they can show you the system and answer any questions.
SA

Oh interesting!

One thing to consider here is that since they are offering AI tools, it is likely that some amount of training will be done through this service as well, unless they specifically declare that they aren't using data to train their AI.

More and more tools will use AI and train, the key on the development side is going to be making sure the data isn't exposed, as it has always been (because they've always had our data).

WS

@Sonja Amundson  Ah yes, I did look into this and forgot to add it to my post.  Their website states:

  • We’ll never share your data with 3rd parties or use your content to train AI models.
  • Backed by Google’s trusted cloud storage infrastructure.
  • All our storage systems are located in Europe.

Good point about companies ensuring adequate protection of client data.
