Simplero Tips

Several people on this forum are using Simplero or are interested in doing it. I thought it would be helpful to start this thread to share tips, ideas, questions, and other thoughts on Simplero. So raise your hand, say hello, or post a comment if that's you.

I started using Simplero in December. I have three courses now and a coaching program on the platform. I am a beginner, and my current goal is to finish building my membership site so I can provide a better experience to my clients. I am looking for ideas about this. If you have any suggestions, things that may have worked well for you, or questions, let's chat here.

I'm also on Simplero, but have yet to create a course on it so it's really just a simple website for now.

🟢 Intentions thread for the rest of 2023 :)

  1. Comment with your intention for this week. @mention your Helper so they know what you're up to 🙏🏼
For example: To practice a specific Joyful Productivity skill, or to complete a project.
Tip: What method will you use to remind yourself of this intention? Perhaps schedule time on your calendar 😊

  2. You might set a reminder mid-week to check-in here, to help you keep on track with your intention 👏🏽

  3. End of your week, reply to your comment with an update on how the intentio…

Thanks for tagging me, Jessica. Gentleness your way. Honoring your sincerity of intention and celebrating all you've created thus far!  In support of you, I have brief thoughts and questions that occur to me. As distinct from "tips" it might feel more like a coaching response, I thought I would ask if you are open to that beforehand. Let me know. Either way is just fine. One question I have is, how would you recognize "enough?" Love & Light, Gregory

@Jessica Jennings, MS Your vision for "Ma Circles" in cities everywhere is really inspiring and I get that it can feel daunting! I have some further thoughts that are probably easier "live" if you're open to a brief 10-20 minute video call or phone call? Email me if so.  amie@amiegarcia.com. Right now, I'm wide open from about 10:45 am today onward, or we can find another day/time.

I tagged some people in case you had some quick responses but please no pressure to reply!!

As the year comes to an end, I want to step back and honor where I've gotten to with my calendar. And of course a huge bow of gratitude to

@George Kao for helping me align my business with my values on so many levels.

2023 was mostly about learning and experimenting for me, and 2024 is about implementing and trusting the process.

Over the year I realized that my business is too complex for me to try and schedule every hour.

A team of 20 contractors, 200 people at different stages of my Certification program, and 10 teachers offering classes on our platform throughout the week creates a lot of mini fires to be dealt with each day.

I came up with this general framework for my day, in this order:
  1. take care of me
  2. take care of my people
  3. take care of my business
Here's what that means to me:

  • Taking care of me is my alignment practice, meditation, and intention setting.

  • Taking care of my people includes sharing in my community, posting, and netcaring.

  • Taking care of my business includes admin and education.

In my calendar, each day there's a different emphasis:

  • Monday: work with my team to set everyone up for the week

  • Tuesday: blog-related work (I have 100 to go through and edit)

  • Wednesday: offer-related work (I am doing market research this week for my 20-person program)

  • Thursday: video-related work/play

  • Friday: grant write for my nonprofit and outreach for any potential heart connections
I have a 15-min timer that reminds me to breathe, and decide how I want to play for the next 15 minutes.

It's possible that my next step may be to learn this:

IT IS ENOUGH.

I think. Not sure. But maybe I should try it for 2024....?

Has anyone ever actually succeed in feeling that what they are doing for their business is enough?

Because I always have the feeling that it's NOT enough, no matter what I do.

But maybe it is now. Would love some tips on this if you have experienced success in this area...

How do you know it's enough? How do you let it be enough, whatever you get done, even if it's not what you planned to accomplish or feel you should be doing?

@Jessica Jennings, MS Thanks for the tag. I haven’t checked this thread for a while and it’s a great topic.

I love what you shared and even your response to Mike. First, quickly on that, if you’re in flow even if the time is up, I’d personally choose to keep going. To find myself in the “zone” is a gift. Just this past weekend I was prepping for a workshop and I rarely work weekends, but I worked for like 6 hours straight and actually enjoyed it!! Not sure your situation and what has you keep working, so just sharing that there’s no hard and fast tule for me

As far as, is it enough? My thought is that, it depends on the perspective. From a hyper-achiever’s perspective, it’s never enough. There’s always another “mountain to climb”. I remember being there in my shoe biz. If we just push harder, hit a higher revenue goal, more designs, more marketing, better this, better that….it just never ends. There is always something. No..matter…what.

So, this is why I love George’s way, gentle launches, joyful productivity, because we can’t do it all, never, ever.

So, the perspective shifts from looking at the business from the lens of the hyper-achiever feeling like it’s never enough, to focusing on the business from another perspective. For me, it was one that had me feel fulfilled, self-expressed and balanced (mind, body & spirit). What’s that alternate perspective for you?

So, now, when I look at what I achieved, say in a given week, or month, or quarter, I can reflect and measure my success against those measurements that are more holistically aligned with my whole being. THEN, and only then, is it possible to celebrate that sometimes I can say, IT IS ENOUGH!!

Not that revenue, or other metric based goals/benchmarks aren’t important, they absolutely are! But they are one part of the picture.

I had to learn this lesson the hard way. Once I shifted, it also became less about let me just grind grind grind for 6 more months, or let me grind now, someday I will be able to go home on time, or be less stressed, or have less on my plate, or whatever  and it became more important to say, no more! I refuse to grind non-stop. I want to live now, not later.

And that feels so good. Sure, the question, is it enough, still can creep in. But feeling like it IS enough is much more accessible when I operate from the place of living for now, not later.

I hope that helps.

Also, love your simple framework! If it helps you focus, great! That’s 1/2 the battle sometimes!

Wanting a general overview/feedback of my LinkedIn Posts to date

Hi All-

Today on my small group call w/ George, I asked for feedback on my LinkedIn Post Feed. Feedback was, more video, less emojis (looks like Chat GPT), and increase frequency of posts. Got it!

What I'd like further feedback on is generally speaking, the content/overarching theme, and if I'm on the right track? What does "right track" mean? Well, I suppose for me, posting is a way for potential clients to get to know me, see what I'm about, what wisdom I have in the way of leadership & gene…

Hi @Amie Garcia  - Same, I don't use Linked In very much but just looking at your profiles, it seems like you're really conveying a lot about who you are - as well as why you're an expert, and even upcoming events that are really enticing!

I'd love to see some video of you for sure talking about the 1 hour workshops...  😊

AG

@Jessica Jennings, MS Thanks for the feedback. Very helpful! I especially appreciate the idea of making videos to talk about the 1 hour workshops. Great idea!

I'm not a big LinkedIn user so not sure my feedback is actually helpful. Would agree with more posts. I prefer pictures and video, so I'm less likely to read a lot of text. Video would help give me a better read of your energy signature. I checked out your website and feel it has a different tone/energy than your LinkedIn About section. Is that intentional?

Again, I don't use LinkedIn much. I basically just post my personal development stuff, and don't filter anything through a "professional" lens.

AG

@Mike Wang Thanks for the feedback! Very helpful. And, yes, the website is different (*slight cringe*). But, hoping that's ok for now. I especially appreciate your comment about video as a way to show my energy signature.

FTA Webinars

I have a question about FTA workshops. I've only ever offered them to folks that I know (former & current clients, colleagues, friends) and I'd like to expand my reach. So, the hyper-vigilant part of me is worried about announcing this to the "world". My workshops are experiential and interactive, and so are there any tips for curating an event where I can somehow be assured that I have like-minded individuals in attendance that will play well with each other :)

ST

@Amie Garcia Hmm, that's a good question. How would you feel about an intake form, so you know if someone is a good fit?

AG

@Susan Tutt Yeah, I was thinking about that and get worried about extra barriers that turn people away. I asked this question at a recent Q&A w/ George and he mentioned that if I make it "by application" to make it short and sweet.

I think I am leaning towards just trusting that the right people will come and not worry about it.
