Welcome to Authentic Market Discovery 3:34
Welcome to the course! + Our community values

A warm welcome here! I encourage us to see this course as a community... not comments from random people, but rather, focused comments about specific topics, from your kindred spirits 😊 The most important part of a community is its culture. Each of us (who participate here) influence the culture with every interaction we have here.  A few values to keep in mind: Comment once, reply twice. For each comment you make, look for 2 other comments (especially ones with few replies) and add a reply – with your encouragement and suggestions (if appropriate). This helps to balance the comment/reply ratio, and gives you practice in seeking and giving support here. Notice and name each others' energy signatures. Each person's presence is unique, and each person has their strengths. It can be difficult for us to notice our own, and easier to notice others'. Whenever you notice someone's comment that refers to something personal to them, try to name something that you appreciate. We all have a fear of being fully seen. Let’s help each other feel accepted and received. Co-Learning Community. Nobody here (not even the "teacher") knows everything about market research/discovery... it's a rich process that can be customized greatly to each person's way of doing things, so let's create a co-learning environment here. Even I as a "teacher" can and will learn from your shares too! Share generously. Be supportive of others here. If you discover something that works, or hear about a great tip that helps with market discovery, please do share it with us. Comment under the appropriate lesson if possible, or if not sure where, just comment below. Sharing will make this course better for all of us! Keep all sharings confidential.  Let's keep this a safe space for sharing by promising to keep all comments (particularly the personal ones) confidential. Let me know below if these values are helpful, and if you have any suggestions. The values we embody here is what makes this course experience amazing for each other 😊 If no comments below and no ability to comment, first log into this course.

This welcome is....well....warm and wonderful, George! I appreciate how you emphasize that this course is really a co-learning community and that the 'culture' we create with every interaction is most important.

The values you outline, including many practical participation tips, are extremely helpful for someone like me who is typically more of an in the background lone ranger. (In the past; I'm choosing to discover, develop, and practice new habits with this co-learning community!)

Welcome to Energy Signature! + Our community values

A warm welcome here! I see this course as a community... but it’s not just random comments from random people, but rather, focused comments about specific topics, from your kindred spirits. The most important part of a community is its culture. I consider each of us to be culture-setters. We influence the culture with every interaction we have here.  A few values I recommend that we keep in mind: Comment once, reply twice. For each comment that you make, look for 2 other people's comments (especially ones with few comments) and add a reply – with your encouragement and suggestions (if appropriate). This helps to balance the comment/reply ratio, and gives you practice in seeking and giving support in this community. Notice and name each others' energy signatures. Each person's presence is unique, and each person has their strengths. It can be difficult for us to notice our own, and easier to notice others'. Whenever you reply to someone’s comment, try to name something, however small, that you appreciate about their energy signature. We all have a fear of being fully seen. Let’s help each other feel fully accepted and received. Receive deeply what others see/feel from you. It’s a meaningful practice. It’ll help you integrate and express better your energy signature.  Let me know below if these values are helpful, and if you have any suggestions. The values we embody together here is what makes this course experience amazing for each other 😊 (If you don't see any comments below, it means you're not logged into the course, or perhaps not enrolled. If you haven't enrolled, you can do so here.)

These values are perfect for cultivating a beautiful community energy signature! Thank you, George.

Your Energy Signature for your Authentic Business
An inspiring fable about energy signature...

I recorded the following segment for another course, but it's just as relevant here. Watch/read the fable of energy signature ...then come back here to this course and continue :)

Engaging with social media is not appealing to me in my personal life. However, I've believed for years that it will make sense for me to use it at some point related to business endeavors. I'm not convinced I'm 'at that point' yet but@George Kao your playful story did spark my imagination. The fantasy social media adventure movie that ran through my mind was about me having so much fun pinging my energy signature out all around the world like Tinkerbell with her fairy wand. Thanks for helping me warm up to the idea!

2 Spiral learning 6:37
꩜ Spiral learning

Any important area of life has many (perhaps, unlimited) layers of understanding and application. This is certainly true with Joyful Productivity. Each time you return to one of the lessons, consider these 4 steps: Choose one concept, tool, or exercise from the Lesson that you're most interested to apply right now. All other ideas, put on the "back burner" for future consideration. It'll always be available to you to revisit. Choosing to apply one idea at a time will make your real-life learning more sustainable. Experiment as you apply it into your life or business. This means you're open to making "mistakes" as you try implementing the idea. Reflect on your real-life learning and implementation: add a comment underneath that particular lesson. Share your experience with the class. Ask any questions. Netcare by reading a few other comments and replying underneath them. Perhaps even reach out privately to someone to appreciate their reflection. By using these 4 steps again and again, you will spiral deeper (or higher) into your skillfulness with Joyful Productivity 👏🏽

Spiraling through for the second time this year, and the third time total. So far!

2 Begin by imagining your ideal 20 3:40
Let's begin imagining your 20...

Imagine 20 people you love to work with – they enjoy your style and skills just as you are now, without you needing to change or improve anything – and you enjoy them as well. Part of this work – as all work of "authentic business" – is to practice believing in the value of your skills and presence, and stepping more into your authentic service-oriented power. Those 20 people probably already in your life/network right now. Draw them forth by writing a heartfelt description of them...  You're welcome to comment below as you tell us about them – anything you can tell us is great, their inner characteristics, outer (visible) demographics, their interests, and most importantly – why they like and trust you. And what they believe that you can support them with. No perfection needed here... just write what comes to you.  You can always update it later – and likely will :) After writing your comment, turn around and comment on 2 others' descriptions, especially if you resonate or know someone who is exactly like that! :) Just because you reply to someone's comment doesn't mean that you'll get a spot as part of their 20 ;-) but later in this course, if there's still space, and it seems aligned for the time being, they might reach out to you with a gentle invitation to play :-)

My 20 people are all people who like conversation and thinking deeply. They reflect on themselves and the world around them. They trust me because I create safe spaces where they can be honest and authentic. They trust me because I take time to remember who they are and integrate them into the conversation. I ask challenging questions and offer affirmation and constructive feedback. I encourage them to act as peer mentors to each other. They are interested in being themselves and are interested in helping others be authentic too. I enjoy their company. They’re all people I’d enjoy meeting 1:1 over coffee or tea. I admire their willingness to learn and grow and to support others doing the same.

My people are creative and long to express themselves through a variety of media. They are willing to take chances on the road to learning and connecting with something bigger than them. They believe in an infinite energy available to all of us. They see the brokenness of our environment and seek to use their creative energies to heal and transform where needed.

Let Go..

I have been attending an online 21 day health challenge. This week they talked about how toxic emotions stored in our body affect our health and vitality. As an Epiphany, i sensed that my procrastination and lethargy is from all the toxic emotions with different people in my life. And i have not felt it important to do an emotional detox. This week i am going to keep thinking of people whom i have resentments and regrets with. And use my spiritual practise to clean my relationship with them.

Based on my own experience, I can imagine the sense of spaciousness that may open up for you with this spiritual house cleaning, Nitul. Wishing you well as you detox.

Week of Sep 19th: Dance and Draw like nobody is watching

My practice this week is inspired by Kurt Vonnegut:

“Practice any art, music, singing, dancing, acting, drawing, painting, sculpting, poetry, fiction, essays, reportage, no matter how well or badly, not to get money and fame, but to experience becoming, to find out what’s inside you, to make your soul grow…”

So I will be dancing and drawing by myself to simply explore, rather than striving for any results. It feels like this would bring me closer to  my essential nature. I will make this my …

I felt such joy witnessing the mind movie snippets that played out in my head of dancing as a drawing and drawing as a dance when I read your intention!
