Creativity

We have passed the threshold into Spring, the energy of freshness and renewal. As we dive deeper into the season, more of Nature is blooming and blossoming, and we are too. The spirit of this time is full of Creativity.

In March, we explored the Original Self, the authentic essence of you. Once you have connected with this purest part of you, then it is natural to begin to share it. It actually wants to overflow from you.

The most beautiful things in the world are created from the soul. Ther…

@Adarsh Khalsa it certainly does take courage to share our creativity. We never know what difference it may make to someone else when we share from our heart.

Would you attend more Co-working sessions I lead?

We meet at the usual Soul Gym zoom -- http://smpl.ro/SoulGymZoom23

Dear Soul Gym Members,

I love the kinds of work we get done in our short co-working sessions each week!

Excited to announce that I will be hosting additional co-working sessions for members 🙌🏾

To see the new times, add one of these calendars:

You'll notice that most sessions are 1 hour long, but it'll be 50-minutes of co-working (with a bit of check-in in the first 2 minutes,…

Yes, I would like this! I won't be able to attend this Wednesday, but will see if I can fit it into my schedule on future weeks. Other days are welcome too!

Is Asking for Support Easy or Hard for You?

We try so hard to go it alone.

Many of us were taught:

"Be independent!"

"Pull yourself up by your bootstraps."

"If you want something done, do it yourself."

The idea of independence is built into the foundation of the USA. And it continues to permeate our culture.

Many of us have so much shame in asking for help, as if we have failed by even needing help. It's like an admission of failure, rather than the sign of courage that it truly is!

Me too. I was praised for being independent. An…

@Christine Weddle wonderful post! I enjoyed your topic and how concise and clear your writing is, with a touch of compassion and humor :)

There is one line that stood out to me that I thought could be worded differently for more effect: It’s lonely and exhausting.
What if you could describe how you felt lonely and exhausted? Or even writing, I felt lonely and exhausting would feel more personal and relatable, I think.

There is no such thing as self-sabotage

I've heard this term a lot in the self-development field.

I subscribed to it in the past too.

It makes sense that when we are engaging in behaviours that seem to be going against our best interests, these behaviours could be called self-sabotaging.

It really seems like we are sabotaging our:

- efforts

- progress

-health

-relationships

Yet, in my line of work, this idea that we can go against ourselves has never been proven correct. To the contrary, it is always proven that these behaviours t…

@Anastasia Salichou - thank you, I enjoyed your post! It's an excellent subject and you bring it to light!

If you are open to feedback to refine your writing (I am new, so I hope that I am not overstepping here), I would suggest...
1. Defining self-sabotage at the start, maybe with something like, have you ever....? and use an example of what would be considered self-sabotage.
2. At the end, also giving an example of how to use understanding and integration

In the middle, you give excellent examples that clarify!
