The point of a webinar is that they show up and interact with you live... not to just get their email address with their good intentions to watch the free recording... because chances are, they never will watch (the many free recordings they signed up for).... so they still won't know you well enough to care to open your emails.
Instead, try what I call an FTA Webinar... "free to attend" webinar, but with a paid recording. This increases attendance and engagement, fulfilling the purpose of a webinar. I teach this strategy in-depth in the Authentic Outreach course.
I'd like to further extend that here and suggest trying an FTAM1 model... Free-to-attend webinar that serves as Module 1 of a course/program. They'll should get value anyway by simply attending the free webinar, even if they don't continue your program, but the webinar does give them a good introduction to the overall framework and a good understanding of the journey and value of the continuing program. Still, just like you've experienced in my module 1's in various courses, it's not mostly about the whole program, but about some foundational teaching and a quick exercise where the attendee can get a quick win / feeling of transformation / hope. They also get a taste of the power of a learning community on this topic, and your facilitation of it. A powerful experience of your energy signature.
