Did you know that every comment within Simparo has its own unique URL that you can bookmark so you can easily return to your comments again to check on replies or to reply to yourself to make updates to show everyone.
So let me give you an example Right now, we're here in this particular lesson thread that has a lot of comments.
Now you'll also notice when you scroll down, I'm showing you here, that there are some hidden comments and it kind of like happens every now and then there's, you know, There's 8 hidden comments here and then there's 3 hidden comments here.
You have to click on these to expand them.
So let me show you what happens though.
Let's say I'm gonna expand this, show 8 more comments.
Let's say that I was Stephanie and I'm like, well, I would like to return to my intention setting to reply to my to my own comment so I can update everyone on how it went.
So given that hers was, you know, hidden, it would be hard to come here and try to find your own comments.
So instead, she would click on the timestamp of her own comments, so I'm gonna go ahead and do that now.
And by clicking on the timestamp, it highlights it for her, and it gives a special URL that will help her go directly to that comment.
So she would copy that URL or bookmark.
And once she clicks on a timestamp, she can go ahead and bookmark this link.
And the next time she comes back to the link, it will bring her right to the comments.
So let me give you an example.
Let's say I bookmarked this the next time I'm coming back to this exact link.
Watch what happens.
It brings me directly to her comment.
Okay?
And the same thing with replies, so Joseph's reply was hidden as well before I click on show 8 more comments.
Right?
It was same thing with the reply.
So let's say I was Joseph and wanted to check-in on this later or whatever.
Click on this.
And now there's a special link just for this reply.
Next time I go to this link, it'll bring me directly to that supply.
So again, this this is true for any comment or any reply.
So this is especially useful when you have a comment within a lesson you want to come back to and apply underneath it so that you can continue updating everyone who looks at it later with with what the thread ended up being.

In a sea of comments under a lesson, how to quickly find yours again?

I listened to your video on how to find your comment again.
I'm not seeing a time stamp on my comment, but if i click on my name it takes me to my profile and from there I can click on my comment and get a URL for it.

Hey@George Kao ! Seeing this video makes me think of a great new topic you could offer to the TLC tribe (or maybe it will just be a question you can answer / I will ask on a Q & A)... Which is... A whole tutorial / suggestions from you on how best practices and organizing strategies with web browser BOOKMARKS! I know you have used Google Doc's before to save and organize URL links. But, because all you do us web based - much of it with URL's - I am guessing us TLC folk could create a robust Bookmark Tree to help organize our links. What do you think about that? I use Safari on a Mac and guessing there will be a few different web browsers to cover as well as the difference from desktop and mobile. Maybe you could ask the TLC community to help with tips on the browser of their choosing? Just an idea... :-)
Thanks@George Kao . And to remind you, that you handled this in the last Q & A call yesterday where you revealed that there actually are NOT a lot of bookmarks needed with this new platform. AND, the best takeaway, was the reminder to not create an archeological dig for myself. To trust that I will remember the most important things and save what is important and to find joy when something I forgot might come around again. So basically, don't create a lot of digital clutter - including an insane bookmark tree that would be impossible to follow anyways! :D Good one!
