What if you are taking multiple courses and you might be taking several of Midjourney, some of you are and thank you for, you know, your trust in me and your interest in my my content. So if you're taking multiple courses, how do you manage your time and more importantly, your implementation of the material. So I actually do recommend to my clients when they start working with me I say, Kao, here's my pathway for you based on what I know about your stuff and I recommend you start with these 2 courses and then those 2.I actually recommend people take 2 at a time. Why?
0:41
Maybe it's just because I'm I'm ADHD.Like ADHD.I'm like, oh, 0, And like, 2 is I feel like 2 is not too many rabbits.I know you're not supposed to chase 2 rabbits at the same time. But courses are thankfully slower than rabbits.
0:57
So I think you you could chase 2 courses at the same time and And I think it's more interesting in my opinion. Some of my clients disagree and say no, no, no, George.I'm just gonna focus on 1 every courses at a time. And that's that's a legitimate strategy too, obviously. But if you are in already multiple courses and you want to to to benefit from both, then here's my recommendation.
1:19
Look through the course material and find a lesson or module that jumps out at you.Like, oh, yeah, that's relevant for me at this time.Because the the other way of doing it is just, like, you're, like, be trying to be, you know, a good girl, a good boy, and, like, Alright.Let me go from start to finish just like George had scheduled, you know, designed it, like, oh, module 1, alright, module 2, module 3.Now Simplero courses probably need that, like my Facebook ads course, you can you can jump right to running ads without setting up your your page.
1:55
Doesn't make sense. But other courses like my AI course or -- Yeah.-- many of my courses actually the lessons are standalone. So you can just jump to that 1, go, Kao, that's interesting to me.Let me go ahead and and, you know, I have now let's talk about carving out time.
2:12
I recommend if you're taking courses, probably minimum of 1 hour a week is wise because you you spent money on a course, you might as well use it, please.Right? So 1 hour a week is wise. Now what are you doing at 1 hour a week?I would say something like what?
2:33
20 minutes of course consumption to 40 minutes of implementations.Probably reasonable.Sometimes you Kao do half and half, and sometimes you can even do 40 minutes, of course, consumption, 20 minutes of implementation. But it's some ratio like that where it's like you're gonna watch something for 20 minutes. Now some of you especially if you like watching me on on fast speed.
2:52
Like, I talked Kao them really fast. And then by this time, you're gonna be like, oh, no.I should've slowed down to to 1 x now.But you could speed up my course material.Did you know that in my course platform?
3:02
Underneath right on into the video, you can maybe talk to him and have time so fast.Right? So you could speed it up.And you can also download the Simplero app and log in to my course that way and be listening to the course while you're on a walk or driving or you know, washing the dishes or something like that. So, has some time to to actually, that's not a bad use of time.
3:25
If you're going to be listening to a podcast anyway, you might as well be listening to a podcast you paid for first.Right?Like, why are you listening to something for free?Which is always gonna be there? We should be listening to something you paid for.
3:39
Right? So your podcast listening time, you might about download Simplero app, log in to my courses, listen to my course is while you're washing the dishes or whatever you're doing, chores.Okay? And then you should definitely carve out time, like I said, for implementation because The danger of of course consumption is consumption only. You have to be balance yourself as both a consumer and a creator.
4:06
The consume the consumption part is important for, like, giving you insights and direction, but the the creation part, the implementation part is really where you move forward.Like, this is this was like the biggest aha moment in in early early in my career. When 1 of my clients told me George I realized, in my mind, I had been substituting listening to your courses as getting something done. And it's not. This is a dangerous like, I've just made you aware of this connection in your brain you didn't even know you had attending this call, listening to my courses isn't getting anything done.
4:46
Now, except if you make connections to my courses, You make a collaboration great, but that's not getting anything done. It's the implementation where you get stuff done.So that's why please carve out at least half hour a week to implement what you just heard during your dish washing time or during your, you know, walk and listen to George Chris Korsen. So, yes, half hour week you implement and then you're probably gonna come across some issue when you're implementing maybe a question.Go back to the course and comment below that lesson.
5:18
And to make sure I see it, because I don't necessarily I won't I might not see your course comment for months.Right? To make sure I see it, if it's a question that only I can answer, you put at George Kao, and you click on my name.So it turns blue, Okay?Make sure it's blue, and then you type out your question.
5:37
And that way, I will see it and more and we'll do my best to respond usually within a week or so.And So I hope this is helpful. If this applies to every course you're taking, not just mine, obviously. And so, yeah, I look forward to seeing how you go about that.Thanks.
I have a regular block of time every morning while cleaning up and making breakfast that I listen to educational material, usually about my business. It makes sense to put the paid first, and then when that's used up, listen to free stuff.
But by having this regular 30-60 minute block every day of learning content, I have learned so much from so many sources. It isn't implementation time though. But sometimes it feels like I need to start learning about something that I'm not quite ready to implement yet.
@George Kao thank you for these reminders on time management. The snippet I will remember is to watch what I've paid for, not what is for free. There is so much to know, hear, and learn. I am also guilty of consuming so much 'fun' stuff that I get overwhelmed when it comes time to listen to/watch the courses I've paid for. Illuminating and freeing. : )

Thank you so much for addressing this! It is exactly what I needed right now!
