You’ll have a more enjoyable (and efficient) time with your business -- and have better quality Zoom calls :)
I recommend doing this:
- Always plug into the router, via an ethernet cable, when you’re working and especially when you attend Zoom calls. Get a long ethernet cable if you need to. I have several in the home, and it makes such a big difference.
- If your router is too far from where you work, such that even the long ethernet cable won’t reach it -- or if you really want to use Wifi -- then I recommend getting a powerline adapter. It magically brings your internet signal from your router to another room in your home as if you have another router there! I don’t have a recommended one, since mine is more than 10 years old, but still working well (brand: TP-Link). Click the link to see what’s popular these days: powerline adapter.
- Of course, it also makes sense to contact your ISP (internet service provider) and ask if they can upgrade your internet speed. You may need to pay more, but if you’ve done the above 2 things and it’s still slow, it’s probably worth upgrading.
