Netcaring what are Nichemates and why they matter vs Competitors 15:58
What are "nichemates" and why they matter... vs "competitors"

Your most ideal connections are your niche mates: same audience, similar service. If there’s friendship, they can refer overflow clients to you... and you to them.  You can also learn the most from them because their business (and marketing) lessons are applicable to yours too. You can perhaps share resources as well. There are no competitors. There are only niche mates who have the potential to become ideal connections. Unfortunately, not everyone is so open-hearted or abundance-minded…  so please spread the word about this concept! A second tier (still very good) type of niche mate is someone with:  either (1) the same audience and different service  or (2) same service, different audience.  You are professionally “adjacent” to one another, therefore can also refer clients or opportunities to each other. Comment below… describe a nichemate (without using their name) – what work do they do, and for what audience?

I like how the example video discusses that they still are competitors but can also work together.  There will always be competitors if nothing more than to solidify your value proposition for yourself.  Her are the three items I break them up into:

  • Collaborators – Identify and cultivate aligned partners to co-create, co-market, or co-serve.

  • Competitors – Analyze direct, indirect, and emerging rivals to sharpen your positioning.

  • Complementors – Discover surrounding tools, trends, and businesses that amplify your value.

Principles of Authentic Business 15:27
Principles of Authentic Business

The products/services are deeply meaningful to you, whether you are creating your own, or selling others’ products. How you do marketing feels like a genuine exploration of your potential as well as an act of service towards your audience. For example you create content for mental fitness and as a ministry to your audience. Read more. Your business is consistently meeting reasonable financial goals (rather than hype and fantasy). A “lower” near-term financial target doesn’t mean you’ll attract less – consistently surpass your goals and you’ll increase self-efficacy. Rather than hustle and stress, you operate your business from a joyfully productive mode of working. Read more. A couple more takeaways in graphic form.  Less woo woo, more do.  And pick meaning over mirage.

My Takeaway for eveyone, best line:  "An authentic business is the intersection between the world's hunger and your talents and your passions."  Here is the graphic I use for my clients, but exactly what George is teaching, find the intersection of your skills, your interests, the worlds needs, then use that calling he describes to deliver an authentic business offer that resonates with your tribe and fulfills your business purpose.
