Once upon a time, I was an elementary music teacher for 14 years in public and private school settings. After some challenges and struggles, I ultimately realized I wanted something different, though not sure what, so I worked as a non-medical caregiver for seniors for 3 years, entering this field j…

A story about Estate matters in probate court

I start out by describing a scene I observed in probate court and the insights I had upon reflecting on what I witnessed in terms of assumptions, community needs and systems. I also added a “coda” where I relate the story to my own experience navigating systems. Also unscripted and unedited pondering.

Insights on names, identity, old stories and grief

Here is a link to one of my latest state 1 content videos. I say that because it is an unscripted and unedited video of me talking about real stuff mixed with many related and relevant tangents. It is the experience I went through earlier today in attending probate court to have my name officially changed back to my birth name (I have been saying maiden name until I thought about how archaic that term is however accurate it may be) from my married name, and all the stuff that came up with that entire ordeal.

Honor the dignity of every human being.

I restarted the following video 7 times before finally posting the last one I made so I ensured that I posted something when I intended to. I would like to also explore how to compile things I said in each of the "takes" so I can potentially create a stage 2 piece, but it occurs to me as I write this that some of the things I said in earlier takes would be stage one, and it also occurs to me that I am overthinking this LOL.  Here I talk about some of my Christian beliefs and the concept of honoring the dignity of every human being.

@Whitney Perrine  Love your reflection on your process of making the videos!! So authentic. "Just keep going" is a big lesson I heard. I too need to figure out how to effeciently piece together the videos even though I studied motion graphics and know how ot make video, Idk right now whats the easiest method and least time consuming. Just keep practicing 🙂 I stumbled my first videos too... and then haven't posted since. I believe it's going to be just a matter of practicing and getting comfortable. My videos were so bad, i just decided to post it anyway (unlisted) and shared it in the forum. You can see my mess here LOL :  https://learn.georgekao.com...

@Masha Zolotarsky Thanks! I will probably get brave and do the same thing with making unlisted videos on my YouTube channel. I actually asked George about video editing in today's Co-working/Training session. He offered what he does for anyone comfortable with using AI, by considering using an AI video editor. I may just do that, because it's either that or hire someone, because just thinking about the amount of time it could take to edit my own videos in a way that feels "good enough" is exhausting.

Isolation, Friendship, and limiting beliefs I need to explore in order to evolve

This is a long video that I decided to make this morning while in a mental state of despair. I would like to share it on my personal Facebook page, but one of the limiting beliefs I am grappling with is that I do not want to offend friends that I have distanced myself from for reasons that I fear would make them feel worse about themselves, because I would rather spend time with and need to find and cultivate a community of people that are more aligned with the interests and values and belief…

My first ever video post on ADHD, Aphantasia, and some other stuff

Here is a link to the video I shared on the Soul Gym Facebook lounge because I am not ready to upload these unedited stage one videos to YouTube.

Surprise and delight for my business today

Imagine my surprise and delight when someone who barely knows me asked if she could send a donation to my organization!

This was a woman who, moments earlier, found out about my upcoming online program to support women whose loved ones have been diagnosed with cancer. The intention of the program is to send these cancer patients remote healing, while holding loving space for all of the group members.

"Please give me information where I can make a contribution to your organization.  It sound…
