More course material is on its way...
How to see your Medium.com highlights?
Alright.
Sean mentioned that he looks at his medium post and what people highlighted to kinda know what to, like, pull out as quotes for stories or even as posts, like, shorter quotes.
So here's how you do it.
If by the way, you don't have to do this.
You don't have to have a Medium account.
Something's not somehow in medium and Instagram are supposed to play together.
This is just I wish Sean didn't mention it because now you all have questions about medium.
This is not a medium course.
Stop asking us.
No.
Okay.
So so but I wanna show you because, you know, Sean frustratingly mentioned this, so I have to talk about this.
Okay.
So if you have a Medium account, go to your Medium account, click on yourself on the top right, click stats, and then scroll down to one of your posts that has more reads because then it's more likely to have highlights.
If if a post hasn't been read very much, then it's not as likely that people will have highlighted it.
This one has 29 beats.
That's not that many, but it already has some highlights.
So I'm gonna go to the story here and, scroll down.
Oh, I'm sorry.
That's okay.
I have to click on the story itself again.
K.
Click on the the story itself.
It doesn't matter where I click anyway.
Go to the story itself and scroll down, and I see I start to see highlights.
Rod highlighted this, highlighted that, and most of the time when people consider free time, well, so maybe that's a quote I could use.
I don't know.
I mean, it's not that interesting of a quote.
Yeah.
So maybe that's one that's that's that's good.
Right?
That might be my and and when I highlight this, media makes it easy to tweet it out or whatever.
I think this is like an old medium needs to update this.
It's now x instead of the BRRRR Twitter.
Anyway, so the highlights are here.
And so you you need to go to your own medium articles and see if people have highlighted it.
If people have not highlighted it, that just means you haven't gotten enough people reading your Medium stuff for people to highlight it yet.
So I wanna thank Rod Faulkner for highlighting these different things and and Freddy Krueger for highlighting these things as well.
So, anyway, I hope this is helpful.
Thanks for asking.
