One of you asked a great question, which is okay, George.
I understand how it can be useful to record videos at the laptop because, you know, I can record using Zoom clips, for example, or whatever other computer software, and it's maybe easier to upload and things.
But, George, I am often not at my laptop when I feel inspired in the moment to make a video.
So that's why I have to, like, make a video with my phone or whatever.
And here's the thing.
I I have of course, who who doesn't value inspiration?
I I encourage you if you feel inspired in a certain moment and if you can make a video, go for it.
Okay?
But I also invite you to create a more stable, sustainable backup plan for making videos.
It's actually my main plan.
But if you are still unable to I mean, if you still want to be driven by inspiration only, then let this be a backup plan.
Okay?
The backup plan is no matter what, you will still have a consistent time and place.
Place is at your laptop, for example, or it doesn't matter.
If you like making videos with your phone, fine.
But I still ask you to have a consistent time and day of the week for making videos.
If you let's say it was, you know, Saturday afternoon is you know, let's let's say it's your consistent day and time, Saturday afternoons.
Then if you feel inspired other times during the week, like on a Tuesday morning, you feel inspired and you you just met with a client and you record a video.
Fine.
But maybe Saturday afternoon, you still have that time carved out.
You can then do other video things.
Like, now if you wanna do a little bit of editing, you can.
Or if you wanna add some captions, you can.
You wanna upload it and post it different places.
But having a consistent time and day of the week where you will be doing your video stuff is, I think, essential if you want to have a career where video plays a prominent part in drawing your ideal clients to you.
Because guess what?
There is nothing more powerful and resonant with your energy signature than video, much better than writing, much better than photos of yourself.
It's video because are your clients when your clients work with you, do they work with you through writing only?
Well, maybe some of you.
That might be true.
Do they work with you by looking at a picture of you?
Some of you.
No.
I don't think so.
But they work with you on video, don't they?
As far as I know.
Okay.
Maybe some of your some of you only see clients through the phone and audio only, then you should focus on podcasting.
Okay.
Sorry.
But most of us work with clients.
They the clients like to see us and and move our mouths and our our fingers and our faces.
So video.
And, well, the fact that you're taking this course, I'm assuming that's true.
So do you have a consistent day and time to make your videos or to work on video stuff, to either record your videos if you haven't done so that week, or to do something with your videos.
Do you?
Some of you might be doing it more often than once a week, by the way.
When I was when I started my authentic video making back in 2015 was when I or 2014, actually, was when I started.
2014, I was making it at my home office.
2015, I started to do outdoors videos.
My buddy walks, my buddy is my dog, walking to the dog park, making my videos there.
I did that for about half a year, a year maybe, a year maybe.
And then I reverted back to the home office because I wanted to enjoy my walks.
I wanted to stop worrying about, oh, am I gonna make my video today?
And so I went back to my home office to to have a consistent time and place to make my video.
So what about you?
Because here's the thing, inspiration is wonderful, but it's not sustainable.
Why?
Here's here's an here's an interesting reason why inspiration is not sustainable.
Because you're excited in the moment.
I'm so inspired.
I just met with a client.
This download, you know, of insight came.
I'm gonna go record it now.
And and what's your what's your what's your expectation about uploading this inspired video that you just made?
What's your expectation?
Do you expect everyone to go, I don't get it.
I'm gonna move on.
Let's scroll.
No.
Of course you expect the same we expect some reciprocal inspired reactions back, don't you?
Right?
I'm so inspired.
This is so great.
I'm gonna upload this And then guess what happens?
Usually, what happens is crickets.
All you get is crickets.
You don't even get crickets liking your because they don't have a thick thumb enough to like your like your video.
Even crickets can't react.
So then what happens?
You get so discouraged.
Why?
Why?
How come I'm I'm so inspired and I'm so insightful, and how come the world doesn't how come the either you think the world is stupid and they don't get me, They don't get why this thing should be so insightful and inspired.
Or you think there's something must be something wrong with me.
There's either something wrong with the world.
People don't get this.
Or there's something wrong with me.
Is my inspiration somehow not inspired?
Is it not inspiring to other people?
Or the third the third thing you might think is, well, the algorithm is evil.
It's the algorithms well, the algorithm is not promoting my content.
So, George, tell me how to gain the algorithm, how to hack the algorithm, or maybe I have to run ads, spend money to bring my thing.
No.
It's it's it's actually a mixture of all 3, to be honest with you.
But it's not sustainable if you're gonna go by inspiration with your authentic speaking because you're gonna get disappointed.
Time how many times have I been been disappointed since 2014 when I've been making consistent videos?
Do you think I'm always robotic and uninspired when I make my no.
I'm usually inspired.
Even in my consistent time and place, what happens I mean, gosh, even this very video that you're watching right now, am I more inspired now than I was however many minutes ago when I started recording this?
Yes.
This is how inspiration, in my opinion, works the best.
You first 2 things about inspiration.
22 ways to approach inspiration.
1, is it comes to you randomly, often in the shower.
Okay?
Thumbs up.
Often in the shower or washing dishes or something to do with water.
Okay?
Or something to do with nature or water.
It often comes or to to do with a conversation.
Nature, water, conversations.
Those 3 oftentimes create inspiration.
And so you you what do you do?
Do you go, I gotta drop everything now and make a video?
You're you're gonna it's not sustainable.
So, therefore, I've been doing this for 10 years now.
Okay?
You write it down.
What is the nugget or what is the insight?
Or you could record a voice memo.
You could record a video if you want, but but it's not.
Anyway, you write you you record or write down what that nugget insight is if you can't writing it down as fast as instead of like, oh, I gotta put on my 3 minute makeup and make my video now.
Okay?
So that's one one way to approach inspiration is to is to capture it, so to respect your muse enough to say, I honor the fact that you just gave me some insight, some inspiration, some ideas, some story that I just remembered, I'm gonna write it down.
Where am I going to write it down?
That's a question for you.
Where do you write down your inspiration?
So that when it comes to your consistent time and place for recording your videos or making your videos, you take out your list of inspirations and ask yourself in the moment, what still inspires me?
Of the list that I have right now, which one is the most inspiring for my list right now or at least which one is the least uninspiring for me right now?
Because oftentimes, you don't get inspired the same moment that that that you had when you had the inspiration.
But which of the list is the least uninspiring for you right now that I'm willing to talk about?
Let me record the video then.
And then you start recording, you start speaking authentically, and guess what happens?
That's the second time inspiration strikes you.
You create inspiration by being willing and open to letting inspiration come through you.
That is really the sustainable inspiration, is start recording, start talking, and then see what happens.
Now, of course, you choose an idea that you you had some inspiration at some point.
You see?

"I wish I could record videos with my laptop, but often when I'm inspired, I'm not near my laptop..."
Inspiration is good, but consistency is required for the practice of authentic speaking.
For most of us, inspiration is not sustainable for practice. In part because you'll often get discouraged if your inspiration isn't reciprocated by your audience's engagement.
For sustained practice, see it as a sustained practice!
How then to relate to inspiration?
I would recommend habituating the writing down of ideas whenever inspiration comes... but then dedicate yourself to a consistent time/place when you record videos.
During your planned time/place for making videos, take out those ideas you wrote down, and pick one that inspires you in that moment :)
